TRON: RECONFIGURED. C’EST VRAIMENT UN ALBUM DE MERDE, BUSY P?

il fallait s’y attendre, non? le film a été accueilli et enseveli comme un navet. un film annoncé en 3D mais dont 45% sont en 2D, ca le fait pas, ca sent l’arnaque. une histoire à 2 sous, des acteurs visiblement ennuyés (et ennuyants)… même jeff bridges fait du mieux pour s’en sortir dans cette soupe hollywoodienne insipide. et la bande son créée par daft punk ne relève pas le niveau non plus. beaucoup de fans sont décus. mince alors.
alors voilà que disney a eu cette idée de génie que de sortir un album de remixes basés sur cette bande originale du film. et quand je vois les artistes remixeurs, pour ma part, je me lèche les babines: moby, the crystal method, boyz noise, photek (wouah!) the glitch mob ou encore sander kleinenberg. mais quand je vois dans la même liste le nom de paul oakenfold, c’est vrai que je tique également. mais je vais me laisser surprendre par cet album qui sort le 4 avril. je suis bien curieux de voir ce que ca donne.
de l’autre côté, y en a effectivement a qui cet album ne plait pas trop, pour ne pas dire pas du tout: busy p par exemple. son pamphlet publié sur son blog vaut le détour. apparemment, "les daft n’auraient pas été consultés pour le choix des remixs qui, pour busy b, ne semble pas relever du meilleur gout : "Bien sur, certains remixs sont bien et vous savez qu’il y a même quelques uns de mes amis sur ce CD, mais ça ne suffit pas ! Un chef d’oeuvre comme la BO de Tron méritait ce qu’il y a de meilleur et je suis triste de découvrir que les responsables chez Disney achètement leur musique électronique dans des magasins d’aéroports ! Hereusement, j’ai trouvé ce super remix "inédit" ou plutôt "refusé" signé de nos cousins belges Goose. C’est le genre de ré-interpretation qu’aurait méritait le travail des Daft pour cet album de remix ! " . merci busy p. je cours de ce pas l’écouter, cet album.

et voilà. je vous rebassine avec ca… j’en rajoute une dernière couche avant la sortie du dernier film d’adam sandler en france – intitulé "le mytho" (mazette!) – qui sortira mercredi prochain sur les écrans francais.
car party ben, zebra et moi avons rassemblé nos forces et nos esprits pour publier ensemble nos mashups présents dans le film sur une page facebook spéciale contenant les vidéos, les covers, les playlists et tout et tout. je balance la playlist de chez official.fm en bas de ce post. et n’hésitez pas à me faire part de vos impressions sur le film en lui même, de toute facon je n’y suis pour rien

MEINE ERFUNDENE FRAU (JUST GO WITH IT) – ICH KAM, SAH UND LACHTE.

eine kleine review in deutsch – schliesslich habe ich den film in deutsch gesehen. schon mal vorweg: es ist eine typische adam sandler komödie. somit ist schon mal alles gesagt. es kann herzhaft gelacht werden, wenn zum beispiel ein schaf mit mund zu mund beatmung "määah-animiert" wird, oder auch noch wenn kinder in den matsch geschleudert werden oder beim nächtlichen "geschäft" erwischt werden. viel pipi, viel kaka, viel lachen. frau aniston sieht sehr gut aus, und raubt auf jeden fall "physisch" blooklyn decker die show – nur meine meinung. adam sandler als schönheitschirurg kommt gut rüber, seine legendären sprüche sitzen. eine gute komödie – wenn man adam sandler mag.

ich habe vieles gelernt – achtung spoilers:
- ganz vieles über schafe
- es gibt ein zweiter dolph lundgren
- der zweite dolph lundgren ist österreicher
- es gibt verschiedene wege um eine kokosnuss vom boden zu heben
- verdammt sieht frau aniston gut aus

der film ist lustig und unterhaltsam. aber die musik, mann, die musik ist hammer, haha! besonders die fünf mashups die eingesetzt wurden reissen alles raus!
partyben’s "tender umbrella" kommt bei einer shopping tour mit jennifer aniston voll zur geltung. zebra’s "this tainted love" – reworked by lobsterdust – untermahlt ein paar hawaiianische strandszenen und der "roxanne should be dancing", auch von zebra – und auch von lobsterdust reworked – begleitet eine aufgetakelte jennifer aniston in zeitlupe. zeitlupe ist immer gut. patyben’s "every car you chase" hat den längsten mashup einsatz im film. eine lange nachtszene die mit viel romantik beginnt und mit viel "devlin" (insider – um den witz zu verstehen muss du schon den film gesehen haben!) endet.
ich bin total zufrieden und stolz über den einsatz von meinem mashup "can’t stand beggin’" in dem film. zeitlupe, brooklyn decker und jennifer aniston im bikini badend in einer traumhaften wasserfall-location (kaouai auf hawaii) . mittlerweile spricht man schon in insider-kreisen von der "waterfall-scene in just go with it" ! gefällt mir. the police bzw. sting werden noch öfters mit anderen stücken vertreten, adam sandler scheint ja the police zu vergöttern – sting wird sogar in dialogen erwähnt.
und um noch eine oft gestellte frage zu beantworten: leider kann ich euch die movie-version meines mashup nicht zu verfügung stellen. die rechte liegen jetzt bei sony pictures. aber vielleicht und mit ein wenig glück wird es doch noch eine soundtrack-veröffentlichung geben – mit den mashups. leider is dies bis heute nicht geplant.

WELCOME TO HOLLYWOOD, DJ Y ALIAS JY (LET’S MAKE IT OFFICIAL) !

I teased you with this post a few weeks ago… now, let ‘s make it official! it is about mashups and a movie wich starts today in the US… so now I can talk about it. and yes, I am very proud of this one.

so here’s the whole story. back in november last year, I recieved a very surprising e-mail from one of the sony pictures music supervisors with huge news in it. I was actually officially asked by sony pictures to re-do one of my mashup (can’t stand beggin’ / the police vs. madcon) for adam sandler’s new movie called "just go with it". I couldn’t believe it but hey, damned, it was true! also the loriginal artists labels involved in my mashup agreed with sony and so I had to rebuild the whole song with the original high-quality stems from police and madcon wich I recieved very quickly. it was pure fun, and now my mashup is in a hollywood movie… just awesome, still can’t believe it. sometimes the motivation you need in your life just comes to you through mysterious ways.
thanks to everyone at sony pictures – very nice people – and especially thanks to mister adam sandler himself who loves mashups, and that’s a fact. I also just want to thank partyben and lobsterdust for their help, kevin for the translations and many thanks to RJ the sound engineer (at TMD munich) for his help on the final mixing (and especially on the de-essing!) . and now just check it out, fellaz: the movie is funny and well casted: adam sandler, jennifer aniston, nicole kidman, brooklyn decker and dave matthews! and if you listen carefully, you also should detect a few mashups from other collegues in it.
and finally, I’ll have one more glass of that wonderful champagne. yeah, thanks.
