dj gaston’s new mash project is out. it is hot, sexy, funky, fresh and called SOUL FUNK BOOT. 13 soul and funk mashups, a real mashup compilation of popular tunes blended with a soul / funk instrumental. like a "blacksploitation" movie soundtrack, with tracks produced by fissunix, dj gaston, comar, yold, phatbastard, grandpamini and myself. perhaps one of the best mashup compilation this year. any comments are welcome. let’s enjoy soulful music with a touch of real funky grooves!

AT BOOTIE MUNICH (AS A VISITOR)

es war nett. wirklich. das ampere hat mir sowieso immer gut gefallen als location, aber da hatte sich das bootie team wirklich was einfallen lassen: die djs auf tanzfläche-ebene, nette visuals, nettes publikum, einfach nett. und die band, mann, die band! die war wirklich der hammer. hammer drummer und gleichzeitig sänger – respekt! – (fabian füß, live drummer von Blumentopf, hat auch schon für die emil bulls oder freez (zu dessen rap-zeiten) die trommel geklopft, ist bandleader und hat die besten sänger und musiker der stadt an den start…) und der bassist war auch sehr geil. leider hat man die keyboards zum teil vermisst, vielleicht einfach zu leise gemischt. aber einheitzen können sie, die burschen. oh, und die djs haben auch mashups gespielt. und danke freez das du mein "king of the soulstorm" gespielt hast, sehr nett.

und hier ein ausschnitt aus dem "live"-part, die band (mann, wieso hat diese band keinen namen?) spielt den mashup "always supersition" von DJ gaston. auch nett.
